Matching his skills with his passion, the inspirer Michalis Bogiatzidis created in 2012, KTIMA PALIOMILOS in the vineyards of the village Myrsini, in Ilia.

In order to continue the constant and irreconcilable pursuit of his goal, the founder of the estate decided to move to his birthplace, at the beautiful island of Cyclades, Folegandros to continue his effort.

OUR WINERY

Without compromising on quality, KTIMA PALIOMILOS combines the best varieties cultivated at an exceptional soil and climate with innovative techniques.

We cultivate, produce, experiment, and create varieties of wines, with respect to nature and sustainable development, such as Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon blanc, Merlot, Roditis, Assyrtiko, Malagouzia and some additional varieties. Some of them age at the underground cellars in medium oak French barrels, in an environment with a controlled humidity level. Oak and wine seem like a love affair that matures and evolves year after year.

Currently, the one and only winery on the island is housed in the historic building (former Magistrate’s Court) which is a unique masterpiece of the 19th century in the town of Folegandros. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy a tour through the winery, experience the production and the storage process of wines and taste the wonderful labels combined with gastronomic creations that perfectly match with each variety.

On this land, where stone competes with soil and the sun with rain, our ancestors tended to their few vineyards and crafted their wine in clay pots, with love and dedication. Over time, this winemaking tradition slowly began to fade.

Inspired by them, we dared to dream and created our traditional winery — breathing new life into the roots of every vine that this “rocky land” (Phelekgundari) can bring forth.
