Paliomilos WhiteASSYRTIKO – SAUVIGNON BLANC

Young wine of yellow-green colour. Banana aromas on the nose, with white-flesh peach, pear, pineapple, and melon notes. The mouth has lovely, fresh acidity, with a lemony aftertaste on the palate. Served at 10–12°C, it is an excellent complement to shellfish and grilled fish, as well as a perfectpairing with salty cheeses and charcuterie, such as prosciutto.

Wishing to experiment and capture the terroir of our region, in the early years of the Domaine we set about vinifying Assyrtiko, followed by Sauvignon Blanc later on. Early results were quite promising, encouraging us to blend the most highly prized Greek wine variety – Assyrtiko – and the extremely popular and distinctive French – Sauvignon Blanc.
